lyrics

Innut ja linnut

Harmaa käki muni munat,
pikkulintu hautoi ne,
suuri teerikukko vartioi niitä.
Eräänä sunnuntaiaamuna
me kuoriuduimme,
veljeni ja vaimonsa kasvattivat meidät.

”The grey cuckoo layed eggs. The little bird sat on them. The big black grouse watched over them. One Sunday morning we hatched out. My brother and his wife raised us.”
